Dr. Jason Spees is an alumnus from The University of Texas in Austin School of Nursing where he served as a clinical instructor in graduate and undergraduate level courses. He is a board certified and licensed family nurse practitioner and acupuncturist and holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Texas. He serves as Chair for the Alliance for Children, Secretary for HEAL Trafficking and is a human trafficking educator. He has authored multiple human trafficking curricula serving as a clinical editor and author.

Additionally, offers free medical care to victims of human trafficking at Red Oak Hope in Austin, has presented nationally to healthcare providers on human trafficking, and created a podcast on the intersection of human trafficking and healthcare. His mission is to work against, violence, human exploitation, and abuse of power.
