ILARIA “Lala” REYES

Ilaria “Lala” Reyes began her nursing journey by receiving her ADN at Del Mar College. She worked as a registered nurse for 13 years in an array of specialties. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. 

She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She completed her preceptorships in various clinics across the Coastal Bend and previously specialized in Hematology and Oncology. She has also worked with the disabled and elderly population in South Texas. She currently works for QC Clinic & Labs – Staples, providing preventative and urgent care to patients in the Coastal Bend.

She has served as President for the Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurses organization and is the CBAPN Advocacy Chair presently.  She is the current TNP Policy Chair and has served on the committee in the past as well for several years now. She is active in her area as a volunteer at Mission of Mercy and local healthcare events across Corpus Christi. She has been awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award – TAMUCC – 2016; CBAPN Outstanding NP of the Year – 2019; TNP Community Impact Award 2021; AANP – Texas Advocate State Award 2023; 2023 CBAPN Outstanding Service Award 2023; The Leaders of Impact for the American Heart Association 2024 & the Mission of Mercy Impact Award 2024. 

She is proud to serve and advocate for Texas nurse practitioners.
