Ilaria “Lala” Reyes began her nursing journey by receiving her ADN at Del Mar College, after which she worked as a registered nurse for 13 years in various specialties. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Lala is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She completed her preceptorships in various clinics across the Coastal Bend and previously specialized in Hematology and Oncology. She has also worked with the disabled and elderly population in South Texas. She currently works for QC Clinic & Labs – Staples, providing preventative and urgent care to patients in the Coastal Bend area. Lala was awarded TAMUCC’s Outstanding Graduate Student Award (2016), CBAPN’s Outstanding NP of the Year (2019), TNP’s Community Impact Award (2021), and AANP’s Texas Advocate State Award (2023). Lala proudly advocates for and serves her fellow Texas NPs and her community. She has served as President for Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurses and has proudly served on TNP’s Policy Council in past years, she currently chairs the council. She is active in her area as a volunteer at Mission of Mercy and local healthcare events.
