KEN STACKHOUSE
Ken’s diverse roles include certified emergency nurse, trauma nurse, charge nurse, firefighter, EMT, paramedic, and college adjunct faculty. Currently, he teaches emergency and trauma at The University of Texas Health Science Center and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. His contributions to the field include consulting for Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) Certification and service on ENP standard-setting panels.
Former Divisional Director of Clinical Services for a major practice management group, Ken provided clinical consulting and established standardized leadership in 27 practices nationwide. He’s a founding board member and past President of the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners (AAENP) and an active member of Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Ken’s commitment extends to community outreach, recognized nationally by Homeland Security for disaster response efforts. His expertise is sought-after, as evidenced by numerous lectures and presentations. Certified in LEAN for healthcare, Ken drives efficiency and process improvements in healthcare departments and facilities. He developed the nationally adopted leadership program for Enhanced Patient Interactions.
Ken resides in New Caney, Texas, with his wife of 36 years. “Make it a Great Day!” is Ken’s motto, embodied by his daily work to enhance healthcare quality, efficiency, and value.
