CINDY WESTON
DNP, APRN, ANP-C, AGNP-C, ACHPN

Dr. Cindy Weston, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CHSE, FAANP, FAAN is a Family Nurse Practitioner and the Founding Dean for the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Nursing. Before joining HSC Fort Worth, Dr. Weston served as associate dean for clinical and outreach affairs and associate professor at the Texas A&M School of Nursing. She has been a co-recipient of more than $20 million in funding to implement nurse-led interprofessional care delivery models, innovative simulation and integrated behavioral health care models, and has developed simulation for NP curriculum. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nursing Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing.

A sixth-generation Texan, Dr. Weston earned her BSN from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, a Master of Science in Nursing from UT Health Science Center- Houston and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from UT Health Science Center-San Antonio, and her post-Masters FNP through Texas Tech Health Science Center.
