WTAMU Announces Rural Health Institute with $5M Gift
West Texas A&M University, a University Ambassador of TNP, is launching a new institute to strengthen rural healthcare in the Texas Panhandle through advanced nursing education and chronic disease management.
Dr. Holly Jeffreys, Dean of WTAMU’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences, says the initiative will expand training with a doctoral program and an emergency nurse practitioner track, helping improve care and retain providers in the region. The institute begins in August with enrollment already underway.
