DR. DAVID HACKETHORN
MD

Dr. Hackethorn is an internal medicine specialist with over 47 years of experience in the medical field. During his four-decade career with Baylor Scott & White (BSW), he has worked in various clinical and administrative roles. These include serving as the initial Medical Director of the BSW College Station Clinic, member of the BSW Board of Directors, and Interim Medical

Director of the BSW Health Care System. In the last 20 years, Dr. Hackethorn has focused his efforts on establishing a geriatric practice in Temple and Bryan/College Station, providing much-needed healthcare to his community. He cares for patients in the clinical setting, as well as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, dementia units, and patients’ homes.

Dr. Hackethorn graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hackethorn serves as Medical Director for a nursing home, advisor to a local Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), and a member of The Society of Palliative and Long-Term Care. He is also a representative of the Texas Silver-Haired Legislature for the Brazos Valley Area Agency on Aging, District 13.
