2023 NP ADVOCATE AWARD

EMILY BRIZZOLARA DOVE
POLICY WITH TEXAS 2036

Brizzolara-Dove is a healthcare policy advisor for Texas 2036, a non-profit, non-partisan think tank based in Dallas and Austin. During the 88th Legislature’s regular session, Brizzolara-Dove played a key role in advocating for Senator Cesar Blanco’s HEAL Texans Act (Senate Bill 1700), which would help Texans get the quality care they need closer to home, particularly in rural and underserved parts of the state. “Nurse practitioners are an invaluable and irreplaceable link in the healthcare continuum, and it has been an honor to advocate for their work at the Capitol,” said Emily.

A graduate of Baylor University, she previously worked at the Health and Human Services Commission and in the office of Texas Senator Larry Taylor. She lives in Austin with her husband, Sam, and rescue dog, Blueberry.
