TNP’s President awarded the “Fall Prevention in Hospice” presentation as the Best Poster for 2023.

Description: In this project, nurses participated in a fall prevention program to perform a risk assessment that analyzes the fall risks that the patient faces and determines whether there are physical, spiritual, mental, or social barriers that are contributing to the falls. The Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths, and Injuries (STEADI) toolkit was utilized to understand how fall prevention can be implemented in the hospice environment.
