HALLI CARR
Dr. Halli Carr is a DNP–prepared Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 19 years of advanced practice experience across cardiovascular medicine, critical care, resuscitation, trauma, and acute care surgery, coupled with a long-standing commitment to nursing education, leadership, and professional advocacy. Dr. Carr has been a Registered Nurse since 2005. She graduated with her MSN from Vanderbilt University in 2007 and her DNP, also from Vanderbilt University, in 2017.
Currently, she practices as a Nurse Practitioner in inpatient Cardiovascular Services at Baylor Scott & White Health, where she manages complex cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular surgery inpatients while contributing to the development and growth of the cardiovascular service line. In addition to clinical practice, she serves as Clinical Associate Professor and DNP–AGACNP program director at Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing in Dallas.
Dr. Carr’s professional interests include cardiovascular and critical care management, RN and APRN education and mentorship, artificial intelligence in healthcare, healthcare policy, and quality improvement. She is an active speaker at regional, state, and national conferences, a published author in peer-reviewed journals, and a reviewer for multiple national nursing publications. She also serves as a legislative ambassador and content expert for Texas Nurse Practitioners and as an elected membership assembly representative for the Texas Nurses Association to the American Nurses Association in Washington, DC.
