KATIE RUSSELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner Program
Rachel Clark is a BSN, RN and an honored recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. She is currently pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
For the past four years, Rachel has worked as a Lead Nurse for Title I school districts, where she has developed a passion for caring for underserved pediatric populations. She is highly skilled at developing partnerships and coordinating care for children who experience challenging environments such as homelessness, foster care, or poverty. Rachel plans to continue caring for at-risk children as a future provider.
Rachel is a member of the Junior League and an advisor to first-generation students through CareerSpring. She has also volunteered with the HAY Center, offering support to foster youth and Unbound, leading intervention groups to prevent human trafficking in at-risk adolescents.
Professionally, Rachel is a member of Region IV’s Peer Review Board and a legislative ambassador for Senator Lacey Hull.
She is deeply grateful to be a part of the nursing profession and to her parents, Amy and Richard, for teaching her that the greatest purpose of life is to lose ourselves in service to others.
