DR VERONICA J. BRADY
Dr. Veronica J. Brady, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, BC-ADM, CDCES is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s Cizik School of Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in diabetes care. With over 25 years of clinical experience, she practices at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, treating patients across the diabetes spectrum. Her research focuses on diabetes, cancer, and HIV, particularly addressing barriers to glycemic control in minority populations living with HIV and type 2 diabetes. She has published extensively and contributed to the literature on diabetes and endocrine toxicities related to cancer therapies.
Dr. Brady serves as President of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES), where she champions health equity and leads initiatives like the Unconscious Bias Summit. Her work emphasizes improving diabetes outcomes through education, advocacy, and systemic change. She has received numerous honors, including the Harris County Clinic Excellence Award and the Sigma Theta Tau Zeta Pi Chapter Excellence in Mentoring Award. Dr. Brady is widely recognized for her leadership, clinical expertise, and commitment to advancing diabetes care and education.
