JAN ZDANUK DODD

DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CNS, FAANP

Dr. Jan Zdanuk Dodd completed the Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree at Texas Woman’s University at the Parkland campus. Her research was a randomized controlled trial that used evidence-based practice to improve diabetes outcomes among the Hispanic population. She was recognized at TWU as a Research Scholar. Dr. Zdanuk Dodd earned her FNP from the University of Texas at Arlington, her MSN from Northwestern State University of Louisiana, and her BSN from Arizona State University. Dr. Dodd has taught at TCU and TWU. She also worked as an FNP and CNS in Fort Worth and Dallas clinics, as well as in a mobile house calls practice.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional leadership, Dr. Dodd has served on the Board of Directors for Texas Nurse Practitioners in several capacities, including Treasurer, Vice President, and President. Subsequently, she led the Texas Nurse Practitioner Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, as President. On the national stage, Dr. Dodd represented the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a State Representative and serves as an AANP PAC Trustee for Region 6.

Dr. Zdanuk Dodd is married and lives in Westworth Village, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening at home and in botanical gardens, dancing, cooking with her family, and fundraising for the Texas Nurse Practitioner Foundation.
