Sharon Quigley is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing. She serves on the Texas Nurse Practitioner Foundation (TNPF) Board of Directors as Secretary and is an active member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners Education Committee, supporting the development of current, evidence‑based educational resources for members.
Sharon is dedicated to advancing the mission of the TNP Foundation, which provides scholarships and emergency relief funds to nurse practitioners and students. The Foundation raises these funds in part through silent auctions held at the Fall and Spring TNP Conferences—an initiative she proudly supports through her leadership role.
With more than two decades of nursing experience, Sharon’s clinical background includes extensive work in critical care, ortho/spine, pain management, and urgent care. She continues to practice in urgent care to maintain her clinical skills and connection to patient care.
An Army Veteran, Sharon served in the Army Nurse Corps and contributed significantly during the Gulf War by helping restart the smallpox vaccination program for MILVAX in preparation for soldier deployment. She is also the recipient of the 2023 TNP Above and Beyond Award and the 2023 Daisy Award from Baylor University.
Sharon is committed to advancing nursing education, supporting future nurse practitioners, and promoting excellence in advanced practice nursing.
