MSN-FNP Student
Ms. Lester is a registered nurse and MSN-FNP student at the University of Texas Medical Branch, graduating in December 2026. She earned her BSN magna cum laude from Texas State University and began her career in the emergency department at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center in 2021. There, she worked as a trauma, charge, and triage nurse, mentored new team members, and contributed to pediatric and maternal readiness initiatives.
As Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Ms. Lester streamlined throughput operations and advocated for staff and patients. She also acted as the social committee vice-president, fostering team spirit and collaboration. Ms. Lester is passionate about advancing the nurse practitioner profession and has served on the TNP Student Leadership Council since 2025, volunteering at annual conferences and supporting her peers. She is dedicated to improving clinical placement opportunities for NP students and intends to continue this advocacy after graduation. Her goal is to build a career in primary care, delivering holistic, individualized care to patients of all ages.
