PMHNP Student
Hollin Macklin is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) candidate at the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Nursing and is expected to graduate in August 2027. In May 2026, Hollin earned a Master of Science in Nursing: Practice Innovation with a 4.0 GPA and was honored as the College of Nursing’s nominee for the Presidential Academic Excellence Award.
With more than a decade of nursing experience, Hollin currently serves as a Service Coordinator at UnitedHealthcare while continuing advanced PMHNP studies. Research interests focus on digital health innovation and expanding access to mental health care for underserved populations. Scholarly work includes serving as first author of a PRISMA-ScR systematic review examining artificial intelligence and wearable biosensing for addiction recovery, currently under review for publication, as well as developing SENTRY, an offline-capable relapse-prediction prototype designed for rural communities. Hollin also co-authored an accepted perspective on artificial intelligence for Nursing Administration Quarterly.
Hollin is passionate about advancing the future of psychiatric nursing in Texas and is sincerely grateful for the support of TNP in helping make that goal possible.
