MSN-FNP Student
Nausheen Merchant is a Registered Nurse and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) student at Frontier Nursing University. Since beginning her nursing career in 2017, she has gained experience in adult and pediatric intensive care units and trauma centers in both Los Angeles and Dallas County, caring for patients with complex and critical illnesses.
Inspired by her own experiences navigating barriers to healthcare, Nausheen is passionate about expanding access to high-quality, culturally competent primary care for underserved communities. She hopes to improve health outcomes through preventive care, patient education, and early intervention. As a future Family Nurse Practitioner, she is committed to building trusting relationships with diverse patient populations, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health, and advancing health equity.
Nausheen is honored to receive the Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP) scholarship and is grateful for the organization’s investment in the education and development of future nurse practitioners who will serve communities throughout Texas.
