Alyssa Starkey, BSN, RN, is an emergency department registered nurse and serves as the Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC) at Baylor Scott & White Health. She is dedicated to delivering outstanding, evidence-based emergency care for all ages. Pursuing her DNP-FNP at UTHealth Houston, she balances nursing, doctoral studies, and family. Her experience with adult and pediatric emergency patients fuels her passion for compassionate, evidence-based care, clinical excellence, and improving patient outcomes via leadership and quality initiatives.
Outside her professional role, Alyssa is the proud mother of three children, Bridgette, Oliver, and Nicolas, who inspire her dedication to lifelong learning and service. She also serves as the Missions and Community Council Chair for the Ministry of Moms, where she leads outreach initiatives and supports programs that strengthen and serve families in her community.
Alyssa will begin the Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) program during her final semester of the DNP-FNP curriculum and complete the additional two semesters required for certification. She is committed to providing expert emergency care to patients of all ages and is honored to receive the Texas Nurse Practitioner Foundation Scholarship, which supports her continued education and dedication to advancing the nurse practitioner profession.
