Dr. Howard is a Doctor of Nursing Practice–prepared Family Nurse Practitioner who practices in interventional pain management in Cedar Park, Texas, caring for patients with complex acute, chronic, neuropathic, and cancer-related pain. He is also the founder of MyVirtualNP, a Texas-based virtual primary care practice expanding access to preventive and metabolic health services across multiple states.

A committed educator, he has served as a Clinical Teaching Assistant and continues to precept Family Nurse Practitioner students, providing hands-on training in pain medicine, diagnostic imaging, opioid stewardship, and clinical decision-making. His passion for mentorship reflects a deep commitment to preparing the next generation of nurse practitioners.

Dr. Howard is an emerging scholar and author, with a peer-reviewed publication in The Journal for Nurse Practitioners focused on APRN advocacy, and a contributing role in a graduate-level primary care textbook on men’s health.

He is also a recognized leader in professional advocacy, serving as Vice President of Austin Advanced Practice Nurses and as a former Legislative Ambassador for Texas Nurse Practitioners, where he has advanced policy and full practice authority.
