TRACY WILSON
Dr. Tracy R. Wilson, DNP, MBE, MSN.Ed., APRN, FNP-C, FAANP, FADLN, FNAP, is a nationally recognized nurse practitioner, medical affairs leader, bioethicist, educator, published author, and health policy advocate whose career spans more than 24 years in healthcare and over a decade in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Her work bridges clinical practice, healthcare policy, patient advocacy, ethics, and industry innovation to advance equitable healthcare access and improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Wilson is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), a Fellow of the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing (FADLN), and a Distinguished Scholar Fellow of the National Academies of Practice (FNAP), honors that recognize her sustained contributions to healthcare leadership, scholarship, advocacy, and interprofessional collaboration. In October 2026, she will be inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), one of the profession’s highest honors, recognizing nurse leaders who have made significant contributions to health policy, research, practice, education, and innovation.
A respected thought leader and published author, Dr. Wilson has written on health equity, nursing leadership, healthcare ethics, patient advocacy, and professional development. She served as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners South Texas State Liaison from 2023 to 2025, where she championed legislative advocacy, professional engagement, and leadership development initiatives for nurse practitioners across the region. She also contributed to the development of the 2025 American Nurses Association Code of Ethics as a member of the national writing panel.
Passionate about expanding career pathways for nurse practitioners, Dr. Wilson is the founding Chair of the AANP Industry and Executive Community, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to increase awareness, mentorship, and professional opportunities for nurse practitioners within the life sciences sector and healthcare areas. Through her national speaking engagements, publications, mentorship, and policy work, she has become a leading voice advocating for the integration of clinical expertise, industry innovation, and patient-centered care.
Dr. Wilson’s leadership extends beyond healthcare delivery into public policy and civic engagement, where she works to advance health equity, improve access to care, and influence policies that impact underserved communities. Through her unique blend of clinical expertise, industry leadership, scholarship, and advocacy, she continues to shape the future of nursing, healthcare, and patient advocacy on a national level.
