BOARD MEMBER AT LARGE

KATIE TAYLOR
DNP, FNP

Dr. Kate Taylor has spent her career caring for patients while expanding opportunities for future nurse practitioners through clinical education, faculty practice, and community partnerships. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and serves as Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Associate Professor at the University of North Texas Health Fort Worth College of Nursing.

Her background includes service as an Army Nurse Corps officer, as well as clinical practice in hospital medicine and geriatric primary care. She continues to care for older adults, as remaining in clinical practice keeps her grounded in evidence-based practice while strengthening her teaching, leadership, and advocacy.

“I have been honored to serve as a Legislative Ambassador for Texas Nurse Practitioners and am grateful for the opportunity to continue that work as a member of the TNP Board of Directors. I look forward to working alongside nurse practitioners across our state to advance our profession, support one another, and ensure Texans continue to benefit from the high-quality, patient-centered care nurse practitioners provide.”
