Kamilah Aziza Yang is a Doctor of Nursing Practice-Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP-FNP) candidate at Texas Christian University with over eight years of nursing experience, including specialization in breast oncology. Her doctoral project focuses on standardizing clinical trial prescreening in breast oncology through automation and structured data abstraction. She has presented her scholarly work on clinical trial prescreening and nurse-led treatment education in breast specialty care at national conferences. As a Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN), she is dedicated to delivering evidence-based care and expanding access to clinical research for historically underrepresented populations. In addition to her clinical expertise, she has volunteered as a CBCN item writer, a peer reviewer for Oncology Nursing Society Congress, and a mentor to oncology nurses pursuing quality improvement initiatives.

As a future DNP, Kamilah hopes to continue practicing breast oncology in the community and ultimately hold a leadership position to shape cancer care delivery and clinical trial access. She is passionate about social justice in healthcare policy and an advocate for healthcare reform.

Kamilah is a native Texan, the wife of a supportive husband, and the mother of an amazing daughter. Her hobbies include fishing, painting, and reading about history and politics.
