DNP, Pediatric NP (Dual Acute/Primary Care)
Olivia Ponton is a dedicated pediatric critical care and emergency nurse currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree as a dual Pediatric Nurse Practitioner student in Acute and Primary Care. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Olivia currently works in a pediatric emergency department, and previously served in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, specializing in ECMO and the care of children with complex cardiac needs. She also served as a Fetal Cardiology Coordinator, where she used her expertise in pediatric cardiology and critical care to educate and support families expecting infants with complex cardiac conditions.
Her commitment to advancing pediatric healthcare is reflected in co-authored publications on bereavement and palliative education needs in pediatric critical care and fetal cardiology. A multiple-time DAISY Award nominee, Olivia is recognized for her clinical excellence, compassionate care, and meaningful impact on patients, families, and colleagues. She is passionate about continued professional growth and improving patient and family experiences in pediatric healthcare.
