TNPF provides up to seven annual scholarships. Applications will be accepted from April 1 through May 31 each year. To be eligible for consideration, be sure to provide all required documents. Scholarships
TNPF GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Texas Nurse Practitioner Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of six $1,500 scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants enrolled in master’s/post-master’s degree nurse practitioner programs or licensed nurse practitioners obtaining doctoral degrees.
Each scholarship shall be a one-time monetary award made payable to the educational institution of your currently enrolled NP, DNP, or PhD program. To ensure all eligible student applicants are provided fair and equal opportunity to be considered for a TNPF scholarship, previous awardees will not be considered unless applying for a newly enrolled program. The application deadline is May 31. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
To be eligible, applicants must:

Hold a current Texas RN license

Be a resident of Texas

Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Be a student, first-year graduate, regular, or legacy member of Texas Nurse Practitioners (will be asked to provide your member ID number)

Submit the application and all required documents by May 31.

Have completed at least 25% of an accredited Masters Nurse Practitioner Program or Post Masters Certificate Nurse Practitioner Program or a be a licensed NP who has completed at least 25% of an accredited Doctoral Nursing Program

Provide a letter from the program director verifying current enrollment status, including part-time or full-time enrollment status.
KATIE RUSSELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The Katie Russell Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to provide an annual scholarship to a TNP member enrolled in a pediatric nurse practitioner program or enrolled in further pediatric education in Texas.
Each scholarship shall be a one-time monetary award made payable to the educational institution of your currently enrolled NP, DNP, or PhD program. TNPF SCHOLARSHIP CHECKLIST
You will be asked to provide the following information for your application. All information must be provided in the submitted application by the deadline. Application submissions missing any required information/documents will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed by the committee.

Number of graduate/doctoral hours completed

Number of graduate/doctoral hours enrolled for the upcoming Fall semester.

Educational background: list nursing schools attended and degrees earned.

Provide a goal statement.

Proof of TNP membership (can be obtained through your membership profile on TNP’s website).

Official nursing graduate transcript(s) from the registrar. Do not send undergraduate transcripts. (Transcripts must be uploaded with the online application, not mailed separately)

Letter from your program director confirming your enrollment and the number of hours for the upcoming semester.
